2024 World Bar Conference | Global Challenges & how the Independent Referral Bars can respond.
15th – 17th May | Belfast & Dublin, Ireland
Limited Capacity | Reserve Early
__
The 2024 World Bar Conference takes place against the backdrop of immense global challenges – all experienced on local levels; and giving rise to distinct regional responses.
The application of Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change and stability of the Rule of Law across the world are just some of the key themes to be considered by a selection of thought leaders and legal experts practising at the Independent Referral Bar. The fundamental question then arises, what value do barristers and advocates bring in the face of such challenges? And, can our shared legal and ethical compass guide us through these periods of change?
Jointly hosted by The Bar of Ireland and The Bar of Northern Ireland, the World Bar Conference 2024 will take place across the charming city of Belfast and vibrant city of Dublin from the 15th to 17th May, concluding in a gala dinner, held at Christchurch Cathedral, Dublin.
Members of the Australian Bar are urged to book early, for what will be a fantastic professional development opportunity as well as valuable occasion to strengthen and renew relationships across the participating Bars.
Topics under consideration include:
Keynote speakers, and panel discussion will feature subject matters expert, judiciary and leading counsel. Contributors will figure from across the common law jurisdictions; and feature a Judicial Panel, as well as a Law Officers Panel (Attorney Generals & Advocate Generals)
Registration is now open and places are limited; so members are urged to book early. Where possible, do notify CEO@austbar.asn.au of your registration, so that we have an understanding of the delegation from the Australian Bar.
