As the inaugural Chairman of the ALRC from 1975 until 1984, Michael Kirby laid the foundation for the Commission’s community consultative approach to law reform that continues today. This event will also provide the opportunity to formally thank outgoing ALRC Commissioner, the Hon Justice John Middleton AM, for his significant contributions to law reform.
